Like many women, my struggle with food and body image began in my late teens and followed me straight into adulthood. Balancing a high-octane life in London and constant travel, I found myself suffocated by the endless stream of unsolicited health advice and society's unrelenting pressure to achieve the "perfect" figure.
This inner conflict hit a breaking point in my 20s. What started as a desire to stay healthy morphed into an all-out war with myself. Social events and work functions stopped being about enjoyment and felt like more like minefields. Pizza nights? Plagued with guilt. Every so-called "slip-up" made me feel like I was failing, resulting in a vicious cycle of anxiety, self-blame, and constant mental battles over what I ate. The harder I tried to control my diet, the more out of control I felt.
It was exhausting — managing my diet became another full-time job, one that drained my energy and left me feeling defeated. And the more I tried to fix myself, the more broken I felt.
Everything changed when I realised this fight wasn’t about food after all. It was about my mindset. Over the years, I’ve sharpened my expertise in six different countries, working with everyone from high-powered professionals in London to remote communities in Fiji. My belief is simple: nutrition is the foundation of thriving health — no matter who you are or where you’re from.
